Oahu Rental Properties

Hawaii Sands Realty understands that not everyone can afford to buy a home so we are proud to offer a FREE rental property search.  From our site you can search rentals in the Honolulu Multiple Listing Service (MLS), save your search, and receive daily updates when new rentals that match your criteria become available.  You can even filter your search under the advanced search to specific areas, types of property, and pet-friendly rentals

Tenant Representation Services

Please be aware that we are showing you all rental properties available in the Honolulu MLS, including properties that we do not manage or have a tenant placement agreement for.  Unlike with real estate sales, property managers generally do not offer any cooperating broker compensation for agents working with tenants. This means that if you want Hawaii Sands Realty to represent you as your agent for finding and negotiating a rental property you will need to compensate us separately.  We do provide this service for a flat fee of $250.00.

Keep in mind that property managers work for the property owners.  They are bound by law to serve the interests of the property owner and try to negotiate the highest possible rent.  They have no obligation to you other than to treat you with honestly and fairness as a customer.  If you hire Hawaii Sands Realty as your tenant representative, however, you have an advocate for your interests who will work to get you the best rental terms.  If we can save you even $75.00/month in rent then you will have saved $900/year, or $650.00 after paying the tenant representative fee.

Self Service

If you decide that you want to represent yourself in finding your rental property, you are more than welcome to use our site to assist you.  However you should be aware that we cannot schedule showings or make inquiries on your behalf. You will need to do some of your own work to identify the rental manager and contact them directly.  You can do this in one of two ways: 1) look at the bottom of the rental property detail page for the
name of the office and then google & call them directly or 2) write down the MLS number and then look it up on the Honolulu Board of Realtors website.
